Perspective

I would like to write about how frustrated I am that we had our last home study visit almost 2 weeks ago and still no sign of a report, but I simply can't. I am frustrated, but my woes seem minor when I read about others and their seemingly endless wait to bring their child home. So here's to a 2 week wait. May I always keep things in perspective.

  1. it's okay to get frustrated. It's adoption, there is no smooth way to do it. I am horribly frustrated with our agency, but what can you do, you are at their mercy!

  2. I remember being sooooo frustrated at the wait to get our home study draft! It is such a simple "form" type document, we could have done it and had someone sign off on it! Ugh! Bottom line: when you are motivated to get your child home, waiting on other people to do their job is the worst feeling. Hang in there and its ok to be frustrated AND raise a stink sometimes!

  3. Hi Denise. I saw that you joined my blog and I see that you started towards the Russian adoption. I know it's hard we all have been there. Everyone goes through some kind of rough patches but somehow we all end up with the same results. You just have to hang in there and stay positive. You will get there I promise. keep your self busy and just enjoy the time together. You just have to take one day at a time.
